CONTROL
Control fiscal periods
Manage which accounting periods are open for transaction posting.

What it does
Period Control protects completed months and helps keep new activity in the intended fiscal period.
Review open or closed status together with posted, unposted, held, and source-transaction counts.
Close a completed period only after its posting work is finished.
Reopen a period only when an authorized correction requires it.
Coordinate the global accounting date with the open period.
Accounting result
Closed periods stay protected while current accounting work remains available.
