Behind the application

Inside LedgerSL.

LedgerSL is written in Object Pascal using Lazarus and Free Pascal. Developed on Linux Mint, it brings desktop accounting forms, database operations, and reports together in one application. Users do not need to install Lazarus, Free Pascal, or a separate database server to run LedgerSL.

Source code at a glance.

Language and forms
Object Pascal units (.pas) and Lazarus form files (.lfm) organize the accounting screens, shared data modules, and posting logic.
Database access
LedgerSL uses SQL extensively to retrieve, filter, summarize, and update data, rather than relying on traditional table-based, record-by-record code. SQLdb components connect the application to SQLite. Each company's accounting data is stored in a local database file for single-user desktop operation.
Database relationships
A database table relationship diagram is available to help developers understand how LedgerSL's tables connect.
Reports
Fortes Report CE provides the reporting components used for invoices, statements, and accounting reports.
Source code availability
LedgerSL source code is available. Pricing will be determined soon.
